This year’s Paris fashion week began with the Dior presentation, which paid tribute to the modernizing impulses of the late 97-year-old designer of Dior, Bohan, who designed the brand for 28 years. The event was housed in a white box the size of a provincial airport that was set up in the Tuileries Gardens. The current creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, has a tendency to lean left, and in the Dior archives, she finds more in common with the lesser-known Bohan than the well-known Christian Dior.
